Excellent pay salary part time hours. Maternity Period July 2018 to June 2019. 3 days per week x 8hrs = 24 hours total (OT available). Salary: approx. £30,000pa (pro rata) depending on skills/experience. Dream Medical are working with a busy surgery in South Bristol. As a teaching and training practice we are looking for an experienced practice nurse to cover a year long maternity period. This Surgery has a clinical team of 8 GPs, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 2 Nurses, 2 HCAs and a Phlebotomist. Also this surgery strives to create a healthy team atmosphere and encourage staff to meet at lunchtime, attend practice meetings and take part in social events, and are therefore, looking for a team player with a passion for delivering good quality patient care.ResponsibilitiesTo provide high quality patient careParticipate in setting standards for care and auditing clinical outcomesPerform the administration and education of all types of Immunisations including travel, seasonal vaccinations, childhoodAble to provide health education advice around diet/smoking/lifestyle/sexual healthAssist the Clinical Services Manager in the maintenance of equipment and stock levels relating to patient careUndertake the collection, storage and despatch of pathological specimens including intravenous blood samples, swabs, smears etc and ensure the cleanliness of any equipment so used. Perform any investigatory procedures requested by other cliniciansThe post-holder will assist in the implementation and management of appropriate health and safety and infection control policies, as defined in the practice Health & Safety policy, Health & Safety manual, Infection Control policy and other published proceduresSupport the equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleaguesAccountable to own professional development and performance and act as a role model to othersThis list is not exhaustive and it may be necessary to undertake work as may be required by the Practice to maintain a high standard and efficient service for our patientsRequirementsCurrent NMC registrationExperience in working within a GP surgery is essentialA flexible approach to working, especially to cover early morning or evening sessionsFor more information for this exciting role please contact Sarah Harris on 01183212820 or email me on sarah.harris@dream-medical.netCan’t find what you are looking for?
