We are one of the most successful schools in Luton and have a thriving 6th form with 300 students. Our Ofsted rating is "good", and under Section 48, an "outstanding Catholic school". The role is a 37‑hour per week position (38 weeks per year to include 3 training days), Monday – Thursday from 8am to 3:50pm and Friday 8am to 3:20pm, with a salary of £21,261 (actual annual salary). As a Science Technician, you will provide essential technical support to our Science teaching staff. The ideal candidate will have a background in Science and/or relevant experience of working in a Science department, school laboratory or equivalent. This experience is an advantage, but not essential. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers, prohibition order check and the Disclosing & Barring Service.
