Cloud Network Engineer Location: Belfast Salary: Competitive Join our team of expert engineers in the Options Cloud Team We are a global fintech company headquartered in Belfast, focused on high‑performance networking, cloud, security and AI. Responsibilities Support networking requirements across AWS and Azure platforms. Work with Cloud and Network teams to design, deploy and maintain public cloud networks. Engage with customer technology teams and Solution Architects. Troubleshoot L2/L3 cloud networking issues and implement VPN, DirectConnect, ExpressRoute, and VPC Peering. Optimize cloud network performance and ensure cost‑effective solutions. Monitor, log, and analyze network traffic using AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor and third‑party tools. Provide support for network security audits and implement best practices. Manage multiple work streams in a fast‑paced service provider environment. Qualifications Hands‑on experience with AWS/Azure cloud networking (VPC, Virtual Network, DirectConnect, ExpressRoute, VPN). Strong understanding of routing, subnets, IP addressing and DNS. Experience configuring and troubleshooting network security (security groups, ACLs, load balancers). Familiarity with Network Virtual Appliances (e.g., FortiGate). Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and monitoring tools. AWS/Azure certifications or willingness to obtain them. Excellent troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills. Self‑management and project leadership. Passion for innovation and fintech. Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
