About the RoleLocation: Finchley Central, North LondonDays: Thursdays and Fridays (2 days per week)Contract: Maternity cover - until the end of the academic yearSubjects: GCSE & A-Level ArtStudents: Learners with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and moderate Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)We are looking for a creative and compassionate Art Teacher to deliver GCSE and A-Level Art to students with MLD and moderate ASD at a welcoming specialist school in Finchley Central, North London.This is a part-time maternity cover position (2 days per week - Thursdays and Fridays), running until the end of the academic year. You will play a key role in inspiring creativity and confidence in students through engaging, differentiated art lessons tailored to individual needs.ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver creative, inclusive Art lessons for GCSE and A-Level students.Differentiate and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with MLD and ASD.Support students in developing practical skills, artistic techniques, and confidence in self-expression.Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school and examination requirements.Collaborate with the SEN team and other teaching staff to ensure consistent support and communication.Maintain an encouraging, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.RequirementsQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a background in Art and Design.Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Art.Experience working with students with SEN, MLD, or ASD preferred.Strong classroom management and communication skills.Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).DetailsLocation: Finchley CentralSchedule: Thursdays and Fridays, during school hoursContract: Maternity cover - until July 2026Rate: Competitive, dependent on experienceReeson Education is an Equal Opportunities employer and is committed to the highest standards of safeguarding and the promotion of the welfare of children, young people and adults. #J-18808-Ljbffr
