Support Worker Oxfield Court - Full-time & Casual Hours St Anne's Community Services is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our Oxfield Court nursing home and respite service in Huddersfield. Oxfield Court is a 28‑bed service across five bungalows that provides complex medical care, behaviour support, and specialist end‑of‑life care for people with learning disabilities. The role involves person‑centred care, supporting clients with complex medical needs, behaviours that challenge, and specialist end‑of‑life care. Main Responsibilities Prepare and review person‑centred support plans, ensuring they reflect client views, aspirations and changing needs. Support clients to live as independently as possible, attending social visits, events, hobbies and activities, and promoting choice. Communicate openly and transparently with clients, team members and families, acting with integrity. Provide personal care (washing, toileting, dressing) respecting client choices and dignity. Maintain accurate, daily records with full client involvement. Assist with household duties (cooking, cleaning, laundry) as required by the client’s care plan. Support quality inspection processes and comply with Health & Safety requirements (manual handling, infection control, fire safety, risk assessment). Work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary team and liaise with carers, families, inspectors and external stakeholders. Person Specification Experience (Desirable) Previous experience working in care (employment or carer at home). Qualifications Essential: Care Certificate or willingness to undertake a Care Certificate. Desirable: Current driver licence.
