Job Summary Barty House Nursing Home is set in an impressive Georgian building in Bearsted, Kent, combining historic charm with modern facilities. The home provides high‑quality nursing care for up to 59 residents in bright, ensuite rooms, many with garden access and countryside views, all delivered with empathy, compassion and dignity. Caring for our residents is at the heart of our business, but looking after someone’s wellbeing in their next chapter goes far beyond watching TV or playing bingo. Driven by our team of Activities Coordinators, you are the difference that ensures our residents’ days are filled with fun, variety, and stimulation. Building rapport and understanding each resident’s preferences and care needs – from low‑level support to dementia and nursing – is key to success in this peripatetic role covering both Tonbridge Wells care centre and Barty House. What You’ll Do Plan and Organise: Create and manage monthly rolling programmes as well as individual activities, encouraging residents to stay active and maintain their hobbies. Foster Social Connections: Help residents socialise and enjoy their time in the care home through diverse activities that cater to all preferences. Keep Accurate Records: Maintain detailed documentation of daily activities. What You’ll Bring Event Planning Skills: Proven ability to develop and organise a range of engaging events and activities.
