About the role The Design Delivery Lead is responsible for managing a discipline-specific delivery team: Providing strategy, management, and leadership to the team across UK and worldwide offices. Promoting cooperation between different teams and wider stakeholders. Fostering a proactive team culture that encourages shared learning, best practices, good communication, collaboration, and recognition of success. What you'll be doing Key Accountabilities: Managing discipline resourcing, team development, and ensuring sufficient and competent staff for current and future workloads. Overseeing workload management across locations in collaboration with local Team Leads. Monitoring team productivity and performance related to design delivery. Maximizing profit and loss through staff productivity across all locations. Ensuring tender inputs capture opportunities and risks with realistic pricing. Key Responsibilities: Nominating Lead Designers and key roles for projects and managing work allocation. Maintaining high team cohesion regardless of location. Collaborating with the Chief Engineer to develop technical competencies. Setting strategic direction aligned with department procedures and leadership support. Supporting tender development, ensuring budgets, schedules, and risks are managed. Tracking progress and reporting to senior leadership. Planning succession for key roles within the team. Liaising with Project Controls to ensure staff information is current and supporting PARAM setup. Promoting and demonstrating company values and behaviors daily. Who we're looking for Skills Required: Degree or equivalent in Civil, Electrical, or Power Engineering. Membership or working towards membership of an engineering institution (e.g., ICE, IEEE, IMechE). Experience in the power industry, familiar with NG, SSE, SPEN, and DNO specifications. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
