Role Overview Pharmacy Technician – BCUHB East IHC. A member of the Medicines Management team, focusing on Primary Care and Community Services, working to deliver a strong, joined‑up service for patient safety and high‑quality sustainable care. The role involves improving patient outcomes in medicines management across all services and ensuring the patient remains at the centre of everything we do. Responsibilities Deliver pharmacy services across IHC hospitals, GP practices and other clinical and non‑clinical areas in the East as needed. Undertake medicines reconciliation, medication audits, support structured medication reviews and quality improvement work. Work closely with a clinical area such as antimicrobial stewardship or home care. Facilitate and engage others to understand the benefits of safe, effective and economic use of medicines. Qualifications Registered Pharmacy Technician. Excellent knowledge and understanding of medicines optimisation, safety and best practice in primary care. Ability to manage interface issues with acute and community organisations. Outstanding interpretation skills and ability to communicate with a range of colleagues and health‑care professionals. Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome. Benefits Generous annual leave entitlement. Continued professional development. NHS Pension Scheme.
