RoleGarment TechnologistJob DescriptionWork across multiple products across Ladieswear, Menswear and Childrenswear. And must be open to learning new specialisms, we are building a lifestyle brand with expanding multifaceted category areas.Schedules & attends fit sessions and comments to provide vendors with completed technical information regards measurements, tolerances, fitting, workmanship & PackagingChecking pre-production and production samples meet the required quality and aesthetic standards.Strive for continuous improvement in process and product specification, through technical research, interpretation of market information and quality benchmarkingHelp build, develop and maintain technical brand manuals. Communicating this effectively through the supply chain with factories in the UK, Europe & Far eastEnsure seasonal block / Spec reviews are arranged to validate blocks and grade rules.Build strong relationships internally and externally to bring credibility to the technical team and promote the value of the technical function within the business.Alignment with Design to develop product which is fit for purpose with no compromise to quality and fitCommunicate with third party testing Q.C institutes to ensure quality standards are achievedCarry out occasional QC Inspections on incoming goods against sealing samples to required standards and resolving any issues.Work to the Critical path to meet deadlines.Work with suppliers to continually improve quality and ethical standards.Based in our Head office in Cheltenham, UK.Other duties as required.About YouWithin a commutable distance to our Head office in Cheltenham, UK , or willing to relocate.Minimum of 3 Year experiencePrevious experience working for a brand preferable, but not essentialHave strong knowledge in product development, fit, engineering to cost and manufacturing standards.Must have a detailed understanding of manufacturing techniques across a wide variety of product areas or specialisation.Must have good interpersonal skills to deal with various cultures and personalities.Have a strong team collaboration and networking attitudePassionate about product with a high attention to detail.Must be flexible and able to work in a fast -paced environment and be open minded to continuous change and improvement.You will strive for continuous improvement in process and product specifications.An understanding of the consumer fit / quality expectations within the businessHighly organised with strong time management skills.Computer literate (preferably familiar with Excel, Word, Adobe, PLM systems etc).Understanding and awareness of garment testing with ability to interpret test reports against company requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
