We have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Technician to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Loughborough. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible Health & Safety Technician to join our small but dedicated team committed to creating a safe and supportive working and learning environment. We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated technician to support the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety procedures and compliance across the Group and to support the on-call first aid team. Responsibilities Conduct a variety of risk assessments (including workstation, personal support, maternity) and recommend appropriate adjustments to managers. Provide Health & Safety support across all sites, contributing to compliance testing, audits, and continuous improvement of safe working practices. Support the review and approval of student trips, subcontractor risk assessments, and College events to ensure safety standards are met. Contribute to the delivery and management of the College’s corporate eye care scheme. Qualifications & Experience Experience or strong interest in Health & Safety, with the ability to carry out risk assessments and provide clear, practical recommendations. Knowledge of compliance processes, audits, and safe‑working practices, with a proactive approach to maintaining high standards. Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to support multiple sites and work collaboratively across teams. Confidence in interpreting and applying H&S guidance, including COSHH and evacuation procedures.
