Role description Arcadis is looking for an Associate level, Healthcare experienced Architect to join our healthcare team. You will support the delivery of major healthcare projects and manage a range of smaller healthcare projects. You will join a highly creative, collaborative and inclusive team focused on innovative problem solving and design excellence across sectors including Health, Education, Science and Living. You’ll coordinate the design and construction phases of projects of varying size, deliver high quality architectural solutions, and lead elements of large and small projects independently while supporting the Studio management team with input to programming and resourcing reviews. Sector experience should ideally include Healthcare and Science projects. You will be expected to run significant healthcare projects, build relationships, work as part of a team, and provide support and mentorship. We work with clients worldwide to create, support and enhance smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive. Our work covers places from homes to hospitals and facilities across many sectors, designed and managed to meet diverse needs. Role accountabilities Supporting and leading on projects with responsibility for program and budget management, effective time and resources management, and promoting best practice within the Studio Work in all aspects of projects: design development, working drawings, contract administration and on-site services Manage multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with other disciplines Lead elements of large/complex projects or small projects independently, with or without a team Manage client relationships and team communication (including project teams and budgets) Maintain project documentation, drawings and specifications Process change control requests during construction and address RFI; support in proposals, submissions and presentations Interface with statutory authorities during design and construction phases Understand and adhere to procedures including quality management, environmental management systems and health & safety Contribute to business development activities of the Studio and office Resolve complex technical and design issues Qualifications & Experience RIBA Part 3 qualified and ARB registered, minimum 10 years’ qualification Experience across UK projects, specifically Healthcare and potentially science Experience on larger projects as part of a team and day-to-day leadership for smaller projects Working knowledge of Revit and BIM experience Strong knowledge of building regulations, design standards and best practice Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Why Arcadis?
