Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant A supportive SEN School in Preston is looking for a motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs and is looking to develop their experience within a specialist setting. Location: DarwenContract: Agency – Temp to PermStart Date: ASAPPay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience About the Role: You will work with pupils aged 4–11 who have a range of needs, including autism, SEMH, communication difficulties and developmental delays. Support will be provided in small groups, one-to-one or within the classroom environment. Responsibilities: Support pupils with their learning, communication and personal development Assist the class teacher with classroom tasks and preparation of resources Help deliver interventions under the guidance of teaching staff Use positive behaviour strategies and promote emotional wellbeing Build trusting relationships with pupils and contribute to a positive learning environment Requirements: Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent Experience supporting children, ideally within an SEN or primary setting A patient, flexible and nurturing approach Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team A genuine commitment to supporting children’s progress and wellbeing What We Offer: A welcoming and inclusive school environment Opportunities for further training and development A clear pathway to permanent employment within the school Competitive pay and ongoing agency support All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
