OverviewOur client is a multi-award-winning global leader in vehicle safety systems for commercial vehicles and mobile machinery. Their cutting-edge technologies help prevent collisions and save lives. This role is fully on-site 5 days a week.We\'re seeking a hands-on Product Development Technician to support the engineering team in researching, developing, and testing new safety products and technologies. This role blends electronics expertise with automotive awareness and offers a mix of workshop-based testing and field trials across the UK.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct product and system testing, evaluation, verification, and validationDevise and implement improved test setups and proceduresSupport or lead product and documentation updatesProvide technical support and training to customers and colleaguesKey TasksBenchmarking, teardown, troubleshooting, and reporting on vehicle safety technologiesElectrical and mechanical modification, prototype construction, and reworkParticipation in project meetings and engineering activitiesOccasional UK travel for vehicle trials and supplier liaisonWhat You\'ll BringHands-on experience with electronics, ideally in the automotive sectorStrong understanding of analogue/digital circuits, data signals, and 12/24V systemsAppreciation of embedded software and communications protocolsSkilled in using DMMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and soldering (SMD/PTH)Methodical, detail-oriented, and self-motivatedExcellent communication skills and a collaborative mindsetProficiency with Microsoft 365 and standard desktop applicationsFlexibility to travel and work beyond standard hours when requiredACS are recruiting for a Product Development Technician.
