Department: Insurance LitigationLocation: Birmingham, UKDescriptionWe are recruiting for a Credit Hire Paralegal or Litigation Executive to join our Insurance Litigation team in Birmingham and Derby.Applications are invited from defendant or claimant fee earners or experienced credit hire paralegals with a solid track record handling your own caseload of credit hire or RTA matters.If you can deliver exceptional quality client service and share our ethos and commitment to building long-lasting client relationships, this role may be ideal for you.Our Insurance Litigation team has previously won leading industry awards including ‘Regional Insurance Firm of the Year’ recognised by The Legal 500 and ‘Defendant Team of the Year’ at the Claims Media Personal Injury Awards.This role reports on a day-to-day basis to the Head of Insurance Litigation as head of department.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking alongside a team of credit hire focused individuals.Creatively, innovatively, and effectively manage your own caseload of matters.Taking ownership of your own significant caseload, from start to finish.Proactive use of case management systems.Manage specialist credit hire caseload involving complex credit hire litigated matters.Analyse risk and develop sound judgement to justify decisions in the management of cases.Prioritise work efficiently and effectively to ensure client service level agreements and deadlines are met.Skills, Knowledge And ExpertiseYou will:Preferably have prior supervisory experiencePreferably have a minimum of a 2:1 legal degreePreferably have prior credit hire experiencePreferably have experience in a legal settingBe able to work alone and manage your own caseloadHave a genuine desire and interest in working in a contentious area of the lawHave excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines with your caseloadHave excellent knowledge of IT systems and processesBe highly motivatedBe a team player and able to get on with othersBenefitsWhat we offer?Competitive salaryBonus potentialGreat working environment at our Derby/Birmingham officeCareer Development opportunities25 days holiday plus bank holidaysOptions to buy & sell 1 week’s holiday1 week’s holiday carry overExtra day off for your birthdayStaff card discount scheme for local shopsSocial days and evenings on the firmMonthly food on the firm for all staffStaff discounts on legal services #J-18808-Ljbffr
