Plant Operator – MWH Treatment, Oswestry (United Utilities framework, contract basis) You will report directly to the Lead Site Supervisor and carry out site activities efficiently, to specification and within the contract time, ensuring health and safety and providing a quality product to the client. Key Responsibilities Process monitoring of the new plant Daily monitoring of process operating parameters (MLSS, SSVI, final effluent analyses, sludge thickener performance, sludge, chemicals) Daily monitoring of equipment (oxidation ditch, inducers, blowers, instruments, ferric, caustic, sludge thickeners, etc.) Monitoring of analysers, recalibration of instruments and ordering reagents Adjustment of process parameters to maintain performance Reporting to Advance Plus process commissioning engineer Consultation with client, suppliers and Advanced Plus process team Regular meetings with UU re progress, performance, etc. Daily logs Ordering of chemicals as required (including ferric, caustic, poly, reagents, cuvettes for sampling analyses) Taking deliveries of chemicals Assisting Advanced Plus team with shutdowns, access, etc. Essential / Qualifications You will be a skilled and experienced plant operator with experience working in the water sector within construction. You have a proven track record of delivering a range of small to large sized schemes in a safe conscious manner.
