About the Audit Public Sector Team Our Public Sector Audit team offers a world‑class audit experience with deep, specialist knowledge of the public sector. If you join, you will work with: Central government bodies Local government bodies, including councils, police and fire services NHS Trusts and Integrated Commissioning Boards About the Role As an apprentice you will undertake a four‑year training contract, gaining hands‑on experience and professional qualification. Years 1 and 2 Master the art of auditing: prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies. Develop a deep understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flows. Work side by side with clients in diverse organisations, understanding their operations, challenges and circumstances. Build relationships with key stakeholders within and outside the team, gathering information and establishing professional connections. Years 3 and 4 Progress to more complex audit work, including revenue recognition, valuation and risk assessments. Take ownership of audit engagements, lead delivery and mentor junior members. By the end of the contract you will join Forvis Mazars as a permanent employee, starting a distinguished career.
