Key Responsibilities Lead Audits: Manage a portfolio of audits across local government, NHS, and central government clients, ensuring all work meets regulatory and quality standards. Deliver Quality: Oversee audit planning and execution, review deliverables, and ensure compliance with auditing standards, FRS 102, IFRS, and the Companies Act. Build Relationships: Act as a key contact for clients, responding to queries promptly and supporting effective communication and billing. Coach & Develop: Supervise and mentor assistant managers and seniors, providing feedback, reviewing work, and guiding fieldwork teams. Collaborate: Work closely with senior managers and partners to deliver efficient, insightful, and high‑quality audits. What You'll Bring Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent. Public Sector Experience: Previous audit experience with local authorities, NHS trusts, or other publicly funded organisations. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead multiple external audits, manage teams, and take responsibility for project delivery. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards. Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
