Overview Our client is a respected mechanical contracting company based in Maidstone, specialising solely in high-quality mechanical installations across commercial, residential, and industrial projects. With a strong pipeline of work and a focus on developing internal talent, they are seeking a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their growing team. The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on plumbing or mechanical experience who's ready to step into an office-based estimating role. You'll assist in preparing mechanical estimates for a variety of projects, with full training and support provided by an experienced team. Key Responsibilities Support in preparing mechanical estimates for tender submissions Review technical drawings, specifications, and schedules to understand project scope Perform material take-offs and liaise with suppliers to obtain costings Assist in compiling accurate and competitive quotations within set deadlines Work alongside senior estimators and project teams Attend site visits and client meetings as needed Maintain accurate records of tenders and bids Key Requirements Practical plumbing or mechanical/building services experience (essential) Strong interest in developing a career in estimating Good attention to detail and numeracy skills Familiarity with MS Excel and general IT skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities Motivated, eager to learn, and able to work as part of a team What’s on Offer Competitive salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience) Structured training and development plan Opportunity to progress into an estimator role and beyond Supportive and close-knit team environment Pension scheme and company benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr
