Consultant Radiographer

Job Summary As a Consultant Radiographer, you will work alongside Consultant Radiologists and Specialist Doctors to deliver expert clinical care across one‑stop symptomatic clinics, screening assessment clinics, and multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings. You will independently perform and report advanced breast imaging and interventional procedures, including ultrasound‑guided and stereotactic biopsies, localisation techniques and mammogram reading. Responsibilities and Leadership This role carries significant clinical autonomy and leadership responsibility, including: Acting as a Responsible Assessor for the NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) Leading MDT discussions and presenting complex cases Supervising trainees and advanced practitioners Driving research, audit, and service development initiatives Contributing to strategic decisions and clinical governance Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification. Qualifications & Requirements We are seeking an experienced, forward‑thinking professional with: A Master's Degree in Breast Imaging and HCPC registration Extensive experience in breast ultrasound, interventional procedures and film reading Proven ability to lead, teach and innovate within a multidisciplinary team A passion for patient‑centred care and continuous improvement Desirable attributes include formal teaching qualifications, experience in clinical research and previous leadership roles within breast imaging services.
