Responsibilities We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team at Crookhey Hall School. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neuro‑divergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, supporting a person‑centred approach and a strong safeguarding culture. You will hold a Speech and Language Therapy caseload with support from your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, and contribute to staff training and consultation as required. Essential Criteria Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy HCPC registered 1–2 years experience as a fully registered RCSLT member working in a similar setting Relevant experience engaging and working with individuals presenting complex, diverse communication profiles Knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma‑informed practice Experience of multi‑disciplinary working in various settings Experience communicating with families, relatives and carers Interest in developing knowledge and skills in different areas of SaLT practice Good relationship building, analytical and judgemental skills Good oral and written communication skills Good time management and organisational skills Competent in core areas of SaLT practice with understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards Knowledge of SaLT assessment tools, types of intervention, and formulation of support plans Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clinical practice and professional management Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team Willingness to attend training and work towards further qualifications relevant to the client group Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle Desirable Criteria Understanding of sensory and motor differences impacting communication Evidence of understanding the relationship between arousal levels and communication Our Promise WE LISTEN.
