Job Summary Would you like to work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team with an innovative and solution-focused approach to patient care? This is an exciting opportunity for Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our forward-thinking nursing team on Ward D4 in Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda, a community hospital supporting patients’ rehabilitation and complex discharge planning. Ward D4 is a 27-bed stroke rehabilitation ward with a mixture of medical patients. The hospital is continuously expanding its services and we require staff nurses who are ambitious, motivated to learn and ready to embrace change. Both full and part-time posts are available. Main Duties Manage a group of patients and, when required, take charge of the ward/department and its resources for the duration of your duty. Maintain high standards of patient care. Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to. Support and supervise less experienced staff. Maintain accurate, current, comprehensive and concise records in accordance with NMC Standards and UHB Patient Record Policy. Liaise with clinical specialists (doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and clinical nurse specialists) regarding individual patient requirements and planned programmes of care.
