Job Description Our client is an established national environmental consultancy offering a full range of legionella, asbestos, and health & safety services to clients across the UK. They are currently seeking a hardworking and dedicated Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around the Bournemouth area. The successful candidate will demonstrate skills and experience in undertaking legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines across a varied site base. Experience on cooling towers is desirable but not essential. Preference will be given to candidates from Dorchester, Southampton, Weymouth and surrounding areas. Experience & Qualifications Completed the City and Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment course or an equivalent WMS qualification. Proven track record as a legionella risk assessor within the water hygiene / water treatment industry. Hands‑on experience delivering water hygiene duties to a varied site base. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages. Responsibilities Conduct legionella risk assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 across a varied site base. Compile and create schematic drawings with details, producing final documents/reports for clients. Provide recommendations and pricing for remedial works, routine control measures, quotations, and carry out such works based on assessments. Write up reports and attend meetings to discuss findings. Participate in the company’s legionella management systems. Build and maintain good working rapport with clients, customers, and staff. Resolve problems effectively as they arise. Prioritise workload and ensure completion within set timescales. Travel to sites as per client requirements. Ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to carry out technical legionella risk assessments effectively.
