Support Practitioners – Children’s Learning Disabilities Home (Derby)

Salary: Up to £31,980 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours/week)
Shift Pattern: 3 on / 3 off (moving to 2 on / 4 off) including evenings, weekends, and approx. 5 sleep-ins per month
Sleep-in Rate: £65 per sleep-in (included in salary)
Voluntary Overtime Available

What You’ll Do

As a Therapeutic Support worker, you’ll be a role model and a source of stability for the children in care. Your day-to-day will include:

* Providing nurturing, person-centred care based on individual care plans

* Supporting children with daily routines and education

* Planning and enjoying fun activities and outings

* Building positive relationships with families and professionals

* Keeping accurate records and ensuring safeguarding at all times

* Helping create a safe, homely environment where children feel valued and loved

What We’re Looking For

* Experience working with children with EBD or learning disabilities (essential)

* QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent) – highly desirable

* Supervisory experience (essential)

* A genuine passion for supporting children to grow and succeed

* Ability to work shifts including sleep-ins

* Full UK driving licence
