Oak Hall Surgery is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Practitioner, Paramedic Practitioner to join our established clinical team. The successful applicant will have significant experience in managing minor illness, previous GP practice or primary care experience and an Independent Prescriber qualification. Main duties of the job The role involves delivering high-quality clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and, where required, safe referral. Sessions will include same-day assessment appointments and may include pre-booked chronic disease clinics depending on the post holder's skills, interests and practice need. A key part of the role is supporting our Duty Team by helping manage on the day patient demand through telephone, face-to-face and online consultations. The post holder will work autonomously while also contributing positively to the wider clinical team. About us Oak Hall is a friendly, well established GMS Practice based in New Romney, Kent, serving approximately 6,000 patients. Our clinical team includes three GPs, one Advanced Nurse Practitioner, one Nurse Practitioner, a Clinical Pharmacist on site five days a week, two Practice Nurses, two HCAs, and First Contact Physiotherapy. We consistently achieve high QoF results, hold a CQC rating of Good, and receive 5-star feedback through Working Feedback. Job responsibilities Provide autonomous clinical assessment, treatment and onward referral within scope of practice. Safely prescribe medication in line with national and local guidelines. Offer high-quality, person-centred care to patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions. Support the Duty Team with urgent care demand. Maintain accurate, concise clinical documentation. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. NHS Pension Scheme membership is included. This post requires an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Person Specification Experience Registered ANP or Nurse Practitioner with the NMC, or Paramedic Practitioner registered with the HCPC. Minimum two years' experience working autonomously in primary care or an acute clinical environment. Demonstrate experience managing a wide range of minor illness presentations. Proven ability to work both autonomously and as part of a wider clinical team. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive rapport with patients and colleagues. Experience in chronic disease management. Commitment to promoting equality, diversity and the rights and dignity of patients, carers and colleagues.
