We’ve got the perfect route mapped out for youWe are currently seeking a Fleet Compliance and Engineering Manager, to join our Currys team at Newark. This isn’t just about keeping wheels turning - it’s about ensuring every vehicle meets the highest legal, safety, and operational standards while leading a team that keeps us movingThe role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You’ll work 40 hours, Monday to Friday. There’s also our continued focus on internal promotions, over 60% last yearWhat you’ll do on a typical day:Ensure all vehicles are maintained to legal and operational standardsDevelop and manage preventative maintenance schedulesOversee defect reporting, rectification, and follow-up processesLiaise with internal workshops and external maintenance providersConduct technical assessments and inspections of fleet vehiclesSupport procurement and specification of new vehicles and equipmentWhat you need to succeed at GXO:Proven experience in fleet engineering or vehicle compliance managementStrong mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles (HGVs, LGVs)Relevant engineering or transport qualifications (e.g., IRTEC, CPC, Transport Manager CPC)Familiarity with compliance systems and matrix management tools (e.g., Tachograph analysis, driver CPC tracking, vehicle defect reporting)Excellent understanding of UK transport legislation and vehicle safety standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains. #LI-LB2GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
