We are currently seeking an experienced Orthotist who is looking for an opportunity to develop their career and be a part of our Staffordshire wide orthotic service.The role will be based across Staffordshire covering our orthotic services in Stoke, Burton and Cannock. The successful applicant will work with an experienced clinical team, supportive administrative staff and have access to local workshop facilities and technicians for adjustments and alterations.This role will provide an opportunity for an ambitious clinician to step into a position that will challenge them and provide opportunities to develop clinically across a range of practice areas. The role will be instrumental in helping to develop and implement service improvements for the betterment of patients in the Staffordshire area. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and busy team, and be supported with local, regional and national training to develop their clinical skills to support the service. We aim to deliver a first class service for users whilst applying the most advanced and exciting clinical and technical solutions available to patients.Main duties of the jobKey ResponsibilitiesEnsure the delivery of high quality care for all patients and the smooth running of the serviceWorking closely with multi disciplinary teams MDTsInputting and leading on initiatives within the centre service development planConduct comprehensive assessment of patients to determine their orthotic needsDevelop and implement personalised orthotic treatment plansStay up to date with the latest advancements in orthotic technology and practicesProvide excellent patient care, education, and support throughout the treatment processAssessing, measuring, casting, fitting, supplying, reviewing and adjusting orthoses as requiredMaintaining appropriate clinical notesQualificationsEitherCertified OrthotistHND OrthoticsBSc OrthoticsMust also be fully HCPC RegisteredAbout usOpcare, part of the AM Healthcare, is the largest supplier of prosthetic and orthotic services to the NHS.
