Leader of Career Pathways Dysgu
Do you have experience of working with school-based staff during their early career pathway? Dysgu is a newly established national body, created to transform professional learning and leadership development for the education workforce across Wales. With a mission to shape the future of education, Dysgu is building a new, coherent model of working – based on the voices of practitioners and designed to support teachers, teaching assistants, school leaders, school improvement advisers, and youth workers. Dysgu is now looking to appoint a Leader of Career Pathways, to lead the day-to-day development and delivery of professional learning opportunities for teachers in their first five years of teaching and those on the Teaching Assistants Learning Pathway. This is a key role in shaping Dysgu’s approach to career progression, ensuring that its provision is evidence-informed, responsive to the needs of practitioners in Wales, and aligned with the principles of the National Approach to Professional Learning, the National Professional Learning Entitlement, and the Professional Standards for all practitioners. The post holder will work closely with seconded practitioners, local authority colleagues, the Education Workforce Council (EWC), and Initial Teacher Education (ITE) providers to design and deliver high-quality professional learning that makes a real difference. You will lead a team of staff and work closely with a range of seconded practitioners and partners to co‑construct and deliver high‑quality professional learning that supports leadership at all levels and career development across the education sector. If you have experience of co‑construction and understand the impact of professional learning, please get in touch with the team at Goodson Thomas for a copy of the Candidate Brief (029 2167 4422 / info@goodsonthomas.com). The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this post. All applications will be acknowledged. #J-18808-Ljbffr
