Clinical Supervisor Summary Clinical Supervisors in the SOR Hospital‑Based Program are part of an onsite team of substance use professionals located directly within contracted hospitals to provide SBIRT services to patients with substance use. These services are part of a growing movement to address both the on‑going opioid crisis and the prevalence of patients presenting with substance use concerns that lack connection to available resources post discharge. Clinical Supervisors are responsible for: Providing clinical supervision to staff responsible for delivering services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders Overseeing client services and ensuring compliance with established program standards and service delivery objectives Auditing client records Assisting in interviewing, selecting, evaluating, scheduling and disciplining assigned staff Orienting and training staff Serving as a resource to assigned staff in identifying and resolving complex case problems Assuming client caseload in response to work load or staffing shortages Other duties as assigned Supervises assigned staff in hospital settings pursuant to a federal grant Job Requirements: Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a closely related field required Current certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADC) or higher licensure (LPC, LSW) in state of hire required 3 -5 years of clinical experience in the treatment of substance abuse with at least 1 year of supervisory experience is required Related work experience with program specific population (adolescent/adult) and residential treatment setting required Physical Requirements: Ability to walk and move about the facilities for up to two hours at a time, to monitor and interact with clients Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to record, proofread and check documents and files for accuracy, to prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, read Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data Ability to respond to telephones, and to hear and detect alarms and unusual noises Compensation (based on experience and credentials) Range begins at $70,000 - $97,498/year Gateway Foundation conducts annual reviews including merit increases.
