Overview Freelance Site Manager – Fit Out Project (Essex) Location: Essex, UK Start Date: January 2026 About the Role Our client, a respected main contractor specialising in high-quality commercial fit outs, is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a fast-paced project kicking off in January next year. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, ensuring the works are delivered safely, on programme, and to an exceptional standard. Key Responsibilities Manage all on-site activities for the fit out project Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and site logistics Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations Monitor programme, quality, and progress, reporting to the Project Manager Maintain site documentation and daily records Lead site meetings and resolve issues efficiently Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial or retail fit out projects Strong understanding of H&S and construction processes SMSTS, CSCS (Black / Gold), and First Aid certifications Excellent communication and coordination skills Ability to work autonomously and maintain high standards under pressure This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Approach Personnel Ltd that is operating as an employment business.
