We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday. This is a fixed‑term post for 12 months. The post will provide key input to Urology Services in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and support delivery of national waiting targets. The post is available immediately for twelve months in the first instance. It is suitable for an experienced doctor in Urology who wishes to gain further exposure to urology. A further aim of the candidate should be the development of independent research aimed at publication in peer‑reviewed journals. The successful candidate is expected to be experienced enough to contribute to the smooth running of all aspects of the urological department and will join a team of Urology surgeons delivering elective complex cancer, emergency and outpatient services across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Completed at least four years’ full‑time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a less‑than full‑time or flexible basis) with at least two years in a specialty training programme or specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT).
