Job Description Job Title: Water Treatment EngineerLocation: Reading, Berkshire.Salary / Benefits: £22k – £35k + Training + BenefitsLevel of Experience: Trainee Water Treatment Engineer through to Lead Water Treatment Engineer Profile Our client is a leading name within the Legionella / Water Treatment industry holding a national presence working on various Commercial and Industrial contracts. They are seeking a hardworking and diligent Water Treatment Engineer based in or around Reading. The successful candidate will have hands‑on experience working within the industry, carrying out cleaning and disinfection on both hot and cold‑water systems, following BSRIA guidelines for flushing and chemical cleans of closed systems, and routine water sampling and temperature monitoring. Applications will be considered from: Bracknell, Camberley, Woking, Windsor, Slough, Oxford, Bicester, Aylesbury, Whitwell, Basingstoke, Guildford, Epsom, Croydon, Bromley. Experience & Qualifications Hands‑on experience at a well‑established Water Treatment/Water Hygiene Company, ideally on industrial and commercial sites. Excellent knowledge of ACoP L8 / HSG guidelines. Proficient in using handheld PDA / Tablet systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Role Covering industrial and commercial sites, carrying out cleans and disinfections on hot and cold‑water systems. Flushing and chemical cleans in line with BSRIA on closed systems. Undertaking closed‑system sampling and dosing with required chemicals. Routine water sampling and temperature monitoring. Carrying out TMV servicing, repairs, and replacements. Showerhead descaling and disinfection. Using PDA/Tablet to produce detailed, up‑to‑date reports and maintain onsite logbooks. Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations. Liaising with clients, dealing with enquiries, technical support, and maintaining professional relationships.
