Your role will be based at Kinglea Court starting February 2026. Oyster Care Homes focuses on creating luxurious, exceptional environments for residents and a supportive workplace for staff. As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will play an integral role within the care home, working as part of a small domestic team. You will ensure the home is cleaned and maintained to the highest standard, in line with cleaning schedules, so residents can live in an exceptional environment. Key Responsibilities Provide a high quality housekeeping service to ensure all areas of the home are cleaned to a high standard and that all linen and residents’ personal clothing/items are correctly laundered. Oversee all domestic staff and ensure all duties are completed to the desired standards. Order cleaning stock and ensure stock levels are correct at all times. Ensure that all areas of the Care Home are cleaned to a high standard in compliance with the specific cleaning guidelines and schedules and that they effectively meet the residents' and home’s needs. Respect and maintain confidentiality of residents’ personal information at all times, including their right to privacy, dignity, and choice. Understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act, including infection control. Check that all residents' personal clothing and items are individually labelled, maintained in good repair, and returned to the correct resident in a timely manner after each laundry session. Ensure all equipment used is in full, safe working order, promptly reporting any faults to both Maintenance and the General Manager. Check all areas of the home are supplied with adequate housekeeping items and inform the manager of any shortages. Always be alert and use initiative to spot‑clean any spillages as they occur. Be an active and helpful member of the team, contribute to meetings, attend training sessions and help create a friendly and supportive working environment.
