Installation Supervisor Join Rendesco as an Installation Supervisor and help shape our growth story by playing an active role in decarbonising one of the UK’s most crucial sectors. Location Based in central England with willingness to travel nationwide. Candidates located in Bristol, Cheltenham or surrounding areas are particularly well-suited. Responsibilities The Installation Supervisor will oversee the on‑site delivery of a pioneering heat network, including civil works, pipelaying, plantroom structures, mechanical and electrical fit‑outs, and HIU unit installations. This hands‑on role ensures high‑quality delivery and offers a long‑term opportunity in a multi‑phase development. Lead installation engineer teams on 4th & 5th Generation Heat Networks, including pump rooms, plant rooms, energy centres, and residential properties. Ensure correct installation of Heat Interface Units (HIUs), pipefitting, and large‑scale pipework (fusion welding, butt welding, steel, ductile iron up to 800mm). Take ownership of inspections, documentation, certificates and reports in SimPRO, ensuring compliance with industry, Rendesco and customer standards. Attend contractor and customer meetings, manage stakeholders, report on project progress and variations, and oversee on‑site health & safety. Diagnose and resolve operational issues within heat pump systems. Oversee handover from installation teams to commissioning engineers, ensuring readiness for system commissioning. Qualifications and Desired Skills Industry experience in renewable energy, infrastructure or construction with proven success in plumbing/pipefitting. Strong practical skills in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting water and heating systems. Ability to guide and oversee Installation Engineers, ensuring innovative, efficient and high‑quality solutions. Experience producing inspection reports for equipment and installations, ideally within renewable energy or district heating projects. Technical understanding of flow and pressure principles to design, install and maintain safe, efficient systems. Knowledge of UK Building Regulations (Part G) and other hot water system standards. Engineering or Plumbing qualification: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent). SSS Site Supervisor qualification – ideal.
