The right candidate will have: An NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) A minimum GCSE English and Maths Grade C and above (or equivalent) A good understanding of how students learn and develop in education The ability to support teachers in meeting the needs of all students, including mentoring, pastoral care and assisting with the physical care of students as and when required The ability to work with individuals and small groups of students Excellent communication and written skills with high expectations of learning and behaviour The ability to support students in the classroom and whilst out in the community Informal conversations are warmly welcomed.
