Healthcare Assistant (PMLD) - Harrow - December Start - Long-term, Full-time

A welcoming and well-resourced Special Needs School in Harrow is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join their team supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about providing high-quality care and helping vulnerable young people thrive in a supportive educational environment.

Healthcare Assistant Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and medical support to students with complex needs.

Assist with daily routines including feeding, hoisting, toileting, and mobility.

Support teachers and therapists in delivering personalised learning and development plans.

Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all pupils.

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including SEN teachers, nurses, and therapists.

Healthcare Assistant Attributes:

Previous experience supporting individuals with PMLD, complex needs, or medical care requirements.

Understanding of manual handling, personal care, and safeguarding (training can be provided).

A positive, patient, and empathetic approach.

Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
