About the Role Your focus as a Relief Driver will be to provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities, while maintaining quality service. Provides transportation services for residents and assists them with special needs during transportation, such as carrying packages, opening doors, and helping residents enter and exit the vehicle. Has thorough understanding of the local area, including traffic patterns, to accurately estimate travel times and plan suitable routes to destinations. Resident safety must be prioritised at all times. Maintains all community vehicles in good working condition, including cleanliness, fully charged mobile phone, equipment, checking lights and operation of vehicle, first aid supplies, blood spill clean‑up kit and other safety equipment or assistive devices (step stool to assist residents onto and off the car). Adheres to Highway Code regulations and Avery policies. About You To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all that you do. Ideal Candidate Must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record. Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety procedures. Have the ability to react calmly in emergencies and be considerate. Exhibit a caring nature and be able to make responsible choices, decisions, and act in a resident's best interest. Requirements A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by the business. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
