You will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive top-tier service, leveraging your expertise to navigate complex tax matters and provide insightful advice.We are committed to supporting your professional journey, offering continuous learning opportunities and a collaborative environment where your skills and career can flourish.What you'll be doing day to dayLook after a portfolio of cases, including some trusts as well as high net worth individualsDrafting reports and letters providing tax advice including IHT planning, residence and domicileMeeting with clients to ascertain and advise on their tax planning needsUndertake CGT advice on property, shares etc for both UK resident and non-UK resident individualsReviewing the work of more junior staff and contributing to their professional learning and developmentProviding and managing compliance services including preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns and computationsActively seeking opportunities to promote other departments within in the firm, and in particular the services of our financial planning colleaguesRequest, collate and maintain client informationCorrespond and deal confidently with client enquiresMaintain direct contact with clients, HMRC, solicitors, other accountancy, law and professional services firms, in the delivery of an excellent client serviceAbout youPrevious experience in a tax compliance and advisory role and drafting reportsATT or CTA qualified (or equivalent) with up-to-date technical knowledgeUnderstanding of compliance standards imposed by the various regulatory authorities for taxOrganised and able to plan time efficiently in order to meet deadlinesProfessional and discreet in demonstrating client care, with the ability to build rapport quickly with clientsWhy work at PKF Francis ClarkAs the largest firm of independent chartered accountants and business advisors in South West England, joining PKF Francis Clark brings opportunities to develop your career in a direction that interests you.Having celebrated our centenary in 2019, we’re a team of nearly 1,000 people, based across our offices in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Poole, Salisbury, Southampton, Taunton, Torquay and Truro.Our culture is flexible and supportive, enabling you to be the best you can be.
