Set within a growing business park and the new Waverley residential development, and just 10 minutes from Meadowhall, the hotel is ideally placed to attract both corporate and leisure guests. The hotel features stylish rooms across five floors, a fully equipped residents’ gym, one meeting room, and an on‑site car park. Have a proactive and hands‑on approach to repairs, upgrades, and day‑to‑day operations that support a smooth guest experience. Design and oversee a preventative maintenance programme, extending the life of equipment and facilities to avoid unexpected interruptions and keep everything running like clockwork. Collaborate with other departments to anticipate and swiftly address maintenance needs, from emergency repairs to room upgrades, delivering a reliable and safe environment for guests and staff alike. Conduct regular inspections of the hotel, keeping your finger on the pulse of each room, common area, and facility to ensure safety, compliance, and aesthetic standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, implementing best practices and encouraging skill development for efficient, high‑quality service. Keep up‑to‑date with the latest tools, technology, and maintenance techniques to bring fresh ideas and innovations to the property, enhancing both function and form. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Solid experience in a maintenance or engineering role, ideally within hospitality or a similar setting. Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, grouting, mastik, and general building maintenance, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of building motivated, efficient teams that deliver quality results. Financial acumen to manage budgets and negotiate contracts without compromising on quality or guest satisfaction. Organisational and multitasking abilities to juggle a range of responsibilities and respond quickly to urgent issues. Flexibility to respond to urgent repairs, including availability for evenings, weekends, and on‑call duties.
