ResponsibilitiesManaging the delivery of client-facing work within specialist areas, ensuring new processes and tools are designed with a strong human /end user focus - this includes producing high-quality outputs with serious attention to detailDesigning and Mobilising Major Projects/ProgrammesLooking after financial aspects of an engagement - ensuring we keep clients informed of costs and time incurred, in addition to raising invoices and recovering feesResponsibility to follow internal processes to ensure complianceBusiness development - identifying potential opportunities for new assignments and assisting with bids, We are open to talk to Project/programme/portfolio professionals across the country but our core hubs for this role are:BirminghamLeedsLondon Canary WharfManchesterWith 20 sites across the UK, we can potentially facilitate office work, working from home, flexible hours, and part‑time options. If you have a need for flexibility, please register and discuss this with our team.QualificationsExperience working within a Project Delivery function within major infrastructure programmes or experience in a project‑based role in a consulting firm.Very strong experience in industry, willing to move into the consultancy world; OR, experience in project based roles consulting firm (either Big 4 or major engineering consultancies), after having spent some time in industry.Candidates experience is primarily built around the development and delivery of major Projects/Programmes. This could be as a consultant/advisor or working in Industry/Government.In‑depth experience of applying Project, Programme, Portfolio management (P3M) methodology - and a passion for the discipline.A foundation of excellent academics and good career progression to date.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.An ability to build and maintain great relationships and a desire to network across our firm.Confident communication and presentation skills.Skills we'd love to see / amazing extrasA good spread of experience using different software/applications (e.g. Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Oracle P6, Slack, Clarizen)Relevant professional certification - e.g. APM ChPP/PMQ/PPQ; MoP; MSP; MoRExpertise or sectoral knowledge of infrastructure asset managementExpertise in Project, Programme and Portfolio ControlsExperience of digital transformation and technology in infrastructure programmes, including application of Artificial Intelligence (AI)Experience of capital planning or capital portfolio managementKnowledge of process and value stream efficiency and optimisationOrganisational readiness and effectivenessAbout KPMGKPMG is one of the world's largest and most respected consultancies.
