Manufacturing Scheduling Placement

As a Manufacturing Scheduling Placement student, you’ll see first‑hand the breadth of engineering within Formula 1. This role is central to ensuring designs move from concept to finished parts in world‑leading timescales. You’ll gain exposure to supply chain management, production control, and reporting – supporting the decisions that keep programmes on track. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring deadlines are met and that the manufacturing team operates efficiently. Key Responsibilities Production Control & Scheduling – Managing production orders, prioritising workloads, and ensuring alignment between demand and shop floor capacity. Supply Chain Management – Coordinating material availability, monitoring lead times, and managing subcontractor relationships to support business requirements. Reporting & Data Management – Using Excel skills to schedule, track progress, and provide accurate updates to stakeholders, whilst maintaining accurate inventory levels in our ERP system (SAP). Business Integration – Working with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Programme Management, and Procurement to ensure smooth workflow across functions. What We’re Looking For Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a focus on delivery. A personable approach, able to build effective working relationships across teams. Resilience and adaptability to maintain productivity when under pressure. Comfortable with basic Excel skills. SAP experience is desirable but not essential. Interest in production control, scheduling, and supply chain management. You’ll be on track to achieve a 2.1 degree or above in a relevant area of study. What Can We Offer You?
