Facilities Catering Support Assistant Make It Count Marketing – University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust Job Summary University Hospitals of North Midlands are currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Catering Team at County Hospital Stafford. Working with an experienced team, you will deliver fresh food to patients and visitors. Working Pattern Part‑time. Rota: Thursday – Sunday 16:30‑19:30 (weekend enhancements) Key Responsibilities Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing up and sanitising surfaces. Prepare and serve meals to patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with dietary requirements and health & safety standards. Assist with the preparation and organisation of food items, ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines. Take and record meal orders from patients, considering any specific dietary needs. Deliver food to wards in a timely manner, ensuring it is served at the correct temperature. Manage and replenish stock levels, ensuring that all food items are stored correctly. Liaise with healthcare staff to ensure that patients' dietary requirements are met. Person Specification Essential Basic numeracy and literacy Ability to follow instruction, training, process and procedure Experience working in a commercial catering/customer environment Desirable Food Hygiene Certification Understanding of COSHH and Cleaning Standards Experience within an NHS catering environment Financial Information Band 2.
