Panoramic Associates is supporting a Local Authority in the South East to appoint a Climate Change & Biodiversity Specialist on a short-term contract running until early March. You'll provide expert input into the council's environmental strategy, driving climate action and delivering biodiversity priorities across the region. Climate Change & Biodiversity Specialist Location: South East Contract: Until beginning of March Rate: Competitive Responsibilities Advising on climate change mitigation and adaptation policies Supporting the development and delivery of the council's Climate Action Plan Providing technical expertise on biodiversity, nature recovery and habitat enhancement Ensuring compliance with national environmental legislation (including Biodiversity Net Gain) Reviewing environmental evidence, reports and assessments Contributing to strategic planning and sustainability programmes Engaging with internal teams, elected members and community stakeholders Preparing reports, briefings and recommendations to support decision-making Supporting grant applications and external funding bids We Are Looking For Proven experience in climate change, biodiversity, ecology, or environmental planning Experience working within a Local Authority/public sector environment Strong knowledge of climate policy, Net Zero pathways & Biodiversity Net Gain Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines Next Steps Please reach out to Narinder at 07893 921329 or email your updated CV to . #J-18808-Ljbffr
