Activities Coordinator – Fletcher Ward Fletcher Ward is a 17‑bed Acute Mental Health Unit, treating functional mental health conditions in a supportive and therapeutic environment. We are a forward‑thinking team that values staff as individuals, respects service users and continually strives to be the best unit it can be. Position Summary We are seeking a full‑time Activities Coordinator to deliver meaningful activities for patients admitted to the ward. The role requires flexibility, including weekends and evenings. Key Responsibilities Design and facilitate activities that promote mental well‑being for patients. Work closely with Occupational Therapy and Nursing teams to align activities with therapeutic goals. Motivate and encourage patients to engage in group and individual activities. Use own initiative to plan, run and assess the effectiveness of activities. Qualifications & Experience Experience or training in vocational activities, arts, complementary therapies, horticulture or similar. Good motivational and physical activity skills. Understanding of the value of structured activity in improving mental health. Ability to work independently and under own initiative. Eligibility This role is open only to current NHS employees based in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly. Current employees of Cornwall Foundation Trust Current employees of Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust Current employees of Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board Working Hours & Flexibility The position requires flexible working patterns, including weekends and evenings. Flexibility around workplace locations is also supported.
