We are the UK's largest end to end drainage solution provider with depots strategically located across the UK from Aberdeen to Plymouth, to ensure round the clock coverage for customers and clients alike.

About The Role

As a Security Analyst, you will play a key role in a small but dynamic security team responsible for maintaining and enhancing Lanes Group's security posture. Reporting to the Information Security Manager, you will be the first line of escalation for security operations, support ongoing compliance efforts, and ensure the effective administration of security tools and frameworks. You will deliver training face to face and in person therefore a UK Drivers Licence is required.

Location: Nottingham/Sheffield/Leeds

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 Hours per week (flexible working hours can be accommodated)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and analyse security events across networks and systems to identify potential threats.
  2. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions.
  3. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration and management of Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  4. Participate in vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.
  5. Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
  6. Stay updated on emerging security threats and assist in incident response activities.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. Prior experience in IT, with a focus on networking and system administration.
  2. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms.
  3. Currently pursuing or planning to pursue security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Azure Security Fundamentals.
  4. Exposure to security frameworks like Cyber Essentials Plus and/or ISO 27001 is advantageous.
Skills And Attributes
  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. A proactive approach to learning and staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends.
  4. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  5. Experience with practical security labs and tools (e.g., TryHackMe, Hack The Box, Cybrary Labs).
