Food Production Team Leader

Location: Peterborough (PE2)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

Taskmaster are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our well-established and rapidly expanding client based in Peterborough. We’re looking for a hands-on, motivated Food Production Team Leader to support the daily running of production operations and help drive continued success within a modern, fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* As a Food Production Team Leader you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of production activities. Your main duties will include:

* Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the factory to ensure production targets are consistently met.

* Leading, motivating, and supporting the production team to maintain high performance and morale.

* Creating and implementing production plans, coordinating workflow and ensuring efficient use of resources.

* Maintaining an exemplary health and safety record, promoting best practices across the team.

* Monitoring output and quality, ensuring products meet company and customer standards.

* Coordinating production using the company’s new ERP system and supporting the transition to digital operations.

* Assisting with staff training, development, and performance reviews to build a skilled and confident team.

Candidate Requirements:

* We’re looking for a proactive and experienced leader with the following skills and experience:

* Minimum 1 year’s supervisory experience in a food production environment.

* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others.

* Confident using Microsoft Office and familiar with databases or ERP systems.

* Demonstrated experience in training, coaching, and performance management.

* A proactive problem-solver with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

* Sound knowledge of quality assurance processes, productivity metrics, and health & safety procedures.
