We are an ambitious and growing firm of business advisers and accountants and in order to enhance our current team, we are recruiting for an experienced Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join the team.The role will be predominantly compliance, but you will have the ability to work on advisory projects and to move more into a mixed compliance/advisory role.Duties will include:Manage a portfolio of clients, including interaction with clients and colleagues to ensure all deadlines (client & statutory) are metManagement of junior member of the teamReview of work undertaken by junior colleaguesActive role in personal development and mentoring of junior team membersDelivering all aspects of corporation tax compliance support to clientsReview of computations prepared by the Accounting & Business Services teamResponding to ad hoc queries from internal and external clientsFull portfolio management, to include billing, work in progress and management of your own workflow to meet deadlinesCompleting technical research for discussion and presentation to colleagues and clientsLiaising with HMRC in relation to client liabilities and responding to HMRC enquiriesProviding support to Partners and Managers for client meetingsWorking arrangementsThe working week: with flexibility of hours to meet specific demands – we offer a hybrid model of three days in the office and two days homeworking.Location: Your principal work base is our Nottingham Office, however you may be required to spend time working on client premises.Person specifications – Desirable experience and skillsUnderstanding of accountsStrong IT skills and knowledgeExcellent communication skills both written and verbalStrong attention to detailAt UHY it’s all about you – our benefits33 days holiday (including bank holidays)Discretionary Christmas shutdown not counted as part of holiday entitlementThe ability to ‘purchase’ extra days leave in salary sacrificePrivate medical insurance for oneLife assurance (4x salary)Season ticket loan (for travel or parking) #J-18808-Ljbffr
