Electrical Maintenance Engineer Bury St Edmunds | Up to £52,000 per year Position 1 Recruitment is seeking a Electrical Maintenance Engineer join our clients team in Bury St Edmunds.For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.This role offers a proactive and driven individual the chance to work with large-scale industrial processing and production equipment.The business offers: Salary: Up to £52,000 per year plus bonus: 5% KPI-based (eligible after 6 months) Pension: Company match up to 8% of your salary Protection: Life assurance & income protection Holiday: 240 hours/year (pro rata) Shift Pattern: Full-time, 42 hours/week, Panama shift (days & nights) 6 till 6.3 days, 2 nights, 5 off 2 days, 2 nights, 5 off 2 days, 3 nights, 4 off Electrical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and control systems on production, processing, and utility equipment, including motors, drives, PLCs, and associated control panels, to ensure reliable and efficient operation Support the installation of new machinery Keep accurate maintenance records and complete paperwork promptly Take part in the BOPEX continuous improvement program Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulations Offer flexibility for on-call and out-of-hours work when required The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will have: Relevant electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment Recognised xsabvtc electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance or equivalent) Strong knowledge of PLCs and inverter controls Ability to test, troubleshoot, and diagnose motor, wiring, and control system faults Solid understanding of Health & Safety protocols, including Lock Out/Tag Out, Safe Isolation, Working at Height, Permit to Work, Confined Space, and ATEX/DSEAR Contact Aiste on to discuss this opportunity in more detail.
