This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of learners across a range of digital disciplines, from software development to cyber security and emerging technologies. This role is ideal for both experienced lecturers and industry professionals looking to move into teaching - full training and support for teaching qualifications will be provided where required. About the Role As a Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of programmes up to Level 3. You will inspire students to achieve their goals, develop their digital skills and progress into further study or employment. Plan, deliver and assess engaging sessions using a range of teaching strategies, including blended and technology-enhanced learning. Develop high-quality schemes of work, lesson plans and online learning resources. Create and monitor SMART targets to support learner progress. Provide timely feedback, carry out internal verification, and contribute to continuous quality improvement. Support learners pastorally and academically, promoting positive behaviour, attendance and achievement. Engage in course marketing, open events, and learner recruitment activities. Stay current with developments in computing, including AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google Bard. What We're Looking For Essential Level 5 qualification in Computing, Computer Science, Information Systems, Games Development or related area Industry/commercial experience in one or more computing disciplines Strong digital skills, including use of MS Office and technology-enhanced learning Ability to motivate, inspire and support learners of mixed abilities Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills Commitment to safeguarding, equality, inclusion and professional standards Desirable Level 5 teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET) – or willingness to work towards one Previous teaching experience Assessor/Internal Verifier qualifications Master's degree in a relevant discipline Why Join Us?
