Join to apply for the Housing Team Leader (Home Ownership) role at City of York Council An exciting opportunity has arisen for a positive, hardworking and resilient Team Leader to join the Housing Management Service – leading the Leasehold and Shared Ownership functions. You will be an effective team player as well as a leader, promoting and implementing key messages and approaches to bring your team, colleagues and stakeholders on board in developing future plans for the service, ensuring continual service and performance improvement while maximising income and embedding a newer ICT system. You will have knowledge, skills and experience in housing, specifically in home ownership functions including Shared ownership, Leasehold and Right to Buy administration. You will be committed to personal and professional development and that of your team. This post is suitable as a job share opportunity. As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C2: Can express themselves spontaneously at length with a natural conversational flow, avoiding or backtracking around any difficulty so smoothly that the person with whom they are conversing is hardly aware of it. Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
