Electrical Technician Essity, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom About the role We are looking for a skilled electrical technician who is eager to take the next step in their career and help shape the future of sustainable manufacturing. This permanent, day-based role (Monday to Friday) at Essity’s largest UK site in Prudhoe, Northumberland offers a chance to work with advanced systems and play a key role in ensuring operational excellence. What You Will Do Manage contractors to deliver site maintenance tasks and improvements, scoping work, requesting quotes, creating permits, and managing works. Support production through routine, preventative, and reactive electrical maintenance tasks. Support improvements to maintenance methodologies and practices. Prioritise work daily and support operations flexibly. Who You Are Experience working with contractors in an industrial environment. Excellent communicator able to challenge professionally. Flexible, can‑do approach with a strong focus on results. Can succeed in a fast‑moving environment with multiple challenges and work under pressure. Experience with fixed wiring inspections and general electrical installations (lighting, etc.). Experience with alarm systems, fire protection electrical systems. IT proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel). SAP experience. Qualification Desirable qualification: NVQ3 in Electrical engineering (or equivalent). Key requirement is demonstrated competency skills in electrical engineering in both installation and maintenance work.
